Use this guide for a compatible Amazon Fire TV device. Confirm your device model and operating system before installing the player supplied with your subscription.
Before you begin
You need an internet connection, available storage and your player login details. Check with support that the current Sky Glass branded Android player supports your device. Your billing login and player login may be different.
Get the correct app
The existing service download reference is Sky Glass branded player, with Downloader code 804338. Ask support to confirm the current download before using it; this guide does not verify the file version or publisher. This branded player should not be confused with Sky hardware or its official apps.
Install and sign in
- Open Downloader on your compatible Fire TV device.
- Enter the confirmed download address or code and choose Go.
- Check that the download matches the app recommended by support.
- If the device requires permission to install that app, review the prompt and allow installation only for the trusted source you intend to use.
- Choose Install, then Open.
- Enter the player credentials supplied for your subscription. Follow the server selection in your activation message.
If setup fails
- Check free storage and restart the device if installation fails.
- If the download link fails, request a current link rather than trying unrelated APK sites.
- If sign-in fails, check the username, password and server details against your activation message.
- If only one channel fails, test another channel and report the affected channel and time to support.
